Community Christmas @ DBC
Sunday (12/7), 5:00-8:30pm @ Denton Bible Church.
Denton Bible will be hosting an outreach during the Christmas season to local neighborhoods and apartment complexes here in Denton. We just want bless some families and singles who might be in need of some encouragement during that time of year- and bring them the joy of Christ! Here’s how it’s going to work…
- Three weeks prior to the event, all the Life Groups of our church are going to go out into designated areas of the community and personally invite folks to DBC for the event.
- At the event, we will have plenty of free ham & turkey dinners (with all the fixin’s), a visit from Santa, toys to give away to the kids, arts and crafts for the kids, Christmas caroling, a living Nativity, and much much more… The whole church will be turned into a winter wonderland.
This is just one way to show families/singles in Denton the love of Christ, and that the church cares for them.
BUT WE NEED EVERYONE’S HELP ON THIS in order to make it a success. We’ve got a list of opportunities for you to serve on at http://dentonbible.tuggle.it … everything from cooking, decorating, designing, playing with kids, etc…
ALSO, we’ll be doing a toy drive to give away to these kids- WE NEED ANY OF YOU WHO CAN, TO BRING NEW OR GENTLY USED, UNWRAPPED TOYS TO DBC ANYTIME BETWEEN 11/23 - 11/30. You can bring them to any of the Sunday services.
